As it probably is to so many other fans, Kingdom Hearts to me is more than just a game series. The very first Kingdom Hearts game is basically the reason I got into gaming; the reason I wanted a PS2 to begin with. 

Kingdom Hearts was introduced to me by a girl in Year Four almost ten years ago. That girl is now my best friend in the world. Kingdom Hearts was how we bonded, and continues to be a frequented topic of conversation. 

As someone interested in tales of heroism and self-sacrifice, naturally the Kingdom Hearts series rang true with me. I thought that, though it may be fiction, it holds messages that we should all take away from it. Lessons of loyalty, friendship, and the blurred line between what is good and otherwise.

So yeah, Kingdom Hearts isn’t just a game series to me. It’s so much more than that.
